Here, we adopt a professional approach to address your issues, without resorting to cracking of the spine.
At your first visit, you will be welcomed by D.C. Van Innis. He will thoroughly analyze your symptoms and set goals together with you. This includes asking questions about your medical history and performing a physical examination using a neuro-thermographic scan, X-rays, tests, and measurements to obtain the most objective understanding of your condition. If necessary, your chiropractor may refer you for additional imaging.
This consultation lasts for approximately one hour.
D.C. Van Innis will allocate sufficient time to thoroughly comprehend your condition and identify the most effective treatment options to alleviate your complaint as efficiently as possible.
When you return, D.C. Van Innis will explain the findings regarding your condition in detail. There will be a discussion about the examination so that we can explain the possible cause of your symptoms and work towards resolving them. After we have explained your personalized treatment plan, the initial treatment, or first adjustment, will follow. You will then be seated in the rest chair, and a final check will be performed before you leave.
On average, this consultation typically lasts between 30 and 40 minutes.
Since a lot of information is provided during this consultation, we find that patients often appreciate bringing a partner along. Partners are certainly welcome during the first two consultations to help process all the information.
Each follow-up visit is an important milestone on the path to achieving your goals. We will work on your muscles and provide you with customized exercises to do at home. Please note that you will not receive an adjustment at every consultation. This is a positive sign, as it means you are making progress.
On average, this consultation typically lasts between 30 and 40 minutes.
To monitor your progress and determine the treatment plan, regular evaluations will take place. These checkpoints help set the treatment frequency. After a period of six weeks, a re-examination will be conducted to assess your progress in the treatment.

In our practice, cracking is a rare occurrence, if it ever happens at all. We employ a precise and gentle approach that produces surprisingly impactful results. We prioritize treating our patients with care and without the use of force.
In order to make an appointment with a chiropractor, you do not require a prescription from a general practitioner. In Belgium, chiropractic care is partly covered by health and private insurances. The chiropractor will furnish you with a valid document for reimbursement purposes.
The number of treatments needed is based on several factors, including the type and duration of your complaint, your age, and overall health. Your chiropractor can estimate the number of treatments required to address your specific needs.
Chiropractic adjustments are typically not painful. Your chiropractor will inform you beforehand if a treatment may cause any discomfort or sensitivity. Following a treatment, you may experience mild muscle soreness or fatigue, which usually subsides on its own after a day or two.
In our practice, there is no need to undress for a treatment. We understand that removing clothing can be uncomfortable for many, so we keep your clothes on during treatment.
Chiropractic, osteopathy, manual therapy, and physiotherapy are all approaches to medical care and treatment that center on the musculoskeletal system, but with differing areas of focus. While physiotherapists primarily concentrate on the muscles, osteopaths also take into account the organs. In contrast, chiropractors primarily emphasize the nervous system. At our practice, we place a significant emphasis on the organs, cerebrospinal fluid, and muscular system.
